Description
I have found myself coming back to drawings of magnetic fields over the years. Here is a drawing of magnetic fields. The simple lines repeating at increasing distance made me start to think of how we are surrounded by forces we don’t see and because I’m a jeweler, how to make them wearable. I love finding the balance in these designs, playing with the ratios and weights of the lines then nestling bright brass shapes among them.
I roll silver wires between steel cylinders to give them a rounded edge with a soft feel and look. I bend and twist then fuse the metal where it meets. Brass details are added as I go along, accenting the rhythm and tying it all together.
I harden and seal everything with a powder coat, so the brass and silver will not change color. Feel free to use a polishing cloth on the chain.
It comes on a sterling cable chain with an extender making it adjustable from 16″-19″.
The pendant is 1 1/8″ long by 3/8″ wide.
